Come to my studio... virtually! I was so excited to be participating in Marin Open studios for the first time this year. I had all these goals of painting scenes across Marin and had arranged to show at the Falkirk Cultural Center. Then everything changed. Since you can not come to me, let me come to you virtually. On May 10th from 2:00-3:00, I am inviting you to join me in my Two Rock Valley studio through Zoom. I will be giving a tour of the Sky Ranch Art Studio where I teach classes and have my gallery. Along with the tour, I will share painting techniques and tips with a brief history of my journey of becoming an artist. Hope to see you on Sunday May 10th. Wendy This year was my first time to join Marin Open Studios. I was so excited! Arrangements had been made to display at the Falkirk Cultural Center and my days were full painting local scenes for the event. Then everything changed. It took me some time to rebound. Lucky for me, I live in the country and have lots of space to breath.
When I am not plein air painting, I teach in my studio in the outskirts of Petaluma on my family's ranch. I resorted to teaching Zoom classes for a few months during these strange times. Slowly the classes have resumed with masks and safe distancing and I am down to just one Zoom class.. My plein air days have also returned after getting over the shock of a changing world. Plein air painting keeps me sane. It forces me to stay in the present and keeps revealing the beauty of my surroundings.
