Being an old school photographer, having a darkroom for 27 years, I have a rule that if I couldn't do it in the darkroom I won't do it in Photoshop. I believe in maintaining the integrity of the medium. I do all my own printing, matting and framing so I have total control over the final print. My goal is to have the viewer feel like they are standing next to me when I was taking the image and to motivate people to get out and go the places that they see in the photographs.
I have been a serious photographer since 1970 and moved to the Bay Area in 1972 and pursued my photography career doing portraiture and weddings. I had to go away from the profession for a few years and have been a full time photographer for the last 20 years and have been producing a Marin calendar, Marin Visions since 1996. I had a studio in ArtWorks Downtown for 7 years that I closed in February 2020 and show by appointment only now.
