Sara Gallagher utilizes her drawings to provoke dialogue around the inner landscape of the human experience, engaging with her subjects in both an empathetic and introspective way. Her detailed, ethereal imagery rides the line between contemporary realism and surrealism, allowing others to see themselves in an emotional experience that otherwise embodies no physical form. With a deep belief in the need to break social taboos that surrounds emotional and mental health in the United States, Sara’s drawings aim to spark both resonance and dialogue from person to person. Compassion and empathy build bridges. She hopes that her work can serve to open doors and break barriers, enabling access to a fuller understanding of ourselves and deeper care for those around us. American culture needs to change. It needs to heal. Sara is looking to partner up with an organization to help make real-time changes in our communities and society at large. Please reach out to her here to discuss teaming up.
