San Anselmo, CA
My work is always a further discovery of me. I am transported back to another time and place in many ways – an old pair of tap shoes, a vintage photo taken by my parents, old doors in Italian hill towns, an unforgettable adventure, or structures that no longer exist. I am excited to share my experience with my viewers so that they may, in some way, feel my unspoken statement.
Growing up in southern California provided me with a good education and developed my cultural interests in art, theater and music. A 10-year stint in New York City pushed me further into these endeavors. As a group travel planner in my professional life, I was fortunate to travel extensively and have a first-hand look at some of the worlds greatest cultural institutions.
When I arrived in San Francisco, I began to seriously study art. Motivated by such artists as Sargent, Henri, Homer, Bischoff, Hopper and Schmid, I took all of the key art classes available at the College of Marin, plus many workshops with local Bay Area artists.
