My inspiration is the world around me, how I see it each day. My process is intuitive, as I often choose a palette first and begin with a single stroke. My work contains layers, textures and movement. Creating and destroying as I go. My work is about emotion and the viewer is free to feel and see what they want.
Christine Kelly is a San Francisco Bay Area painter. She grew up in an artistic environment, living with her grandfather, who was a painter and illustrator. After studying interior design she established her her own business, Kelly-Kirby Designs, specializing in commercial design. Her design experience, including love of pattern, fabric, and texture can be seen in her work, where collage has become and increasingly important element.
